What is DCAGT?
DCAGT is the Douglas County affiliate of the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT). CAGT's mission statement provides, "It is our belief that all humans have an inherent right to develop their full potential. The purpose of CAGT is to foster an understanding of all gifted children and their exceptional needs, and to advocate for appropriate education through partnerships with educators, parents, administrators, legislators, and the general public." CAGT sponsors local affiliate organizations across the state, such as DCAGT, providing support, resources, and communications for parents, teachers, and the greater community.
DCAGT aims to provide education, advocacy, and a community for families with gifted children in Douglas County. DCAGT welcomes families with kids in preschool through high school and in public, private, charter, and home school.
